When the idea first came to me about this t-shirt brand I had an idea to sell vintage tops and rip them up in a stylish way something I would do often to fit and look original. Then I decided I needed to create some cool designs since I couldn't find as many vintage tees as I wanted.
So there you go I started design and using AI as a tool, just like everyone else and then I became guilty I'd asked myself.. wait is this really my design:? i feel like I'm ripping off Ai lol...I mean yes, they are my ideas and yes some designs would take up to an hour or more to cut and paste and create today.. but still... I was RIPPING OFF AI. and I get it we all are.
There are millions of t-shirt, graphic designers using this tool and I know this is only the beginning, but my love for original art is a deep one.
I had been curating, and selling art for over 25 years. From unknown artists to the well known, from $50-$5000 I never saw art as a price to give it value but as an authentic expression and true feeling the artist soul.
So when I began this fun exploration into my creative imagination combined with Ai and Canva tools, i thought maybe I could bring awesome cool, fast graphics to life.
If I can create a cool design within 20mins -1hour then I should be able to share whatever profits I can with the Worldl... So RIP-CREATE-GIVE AWAY idea came to life. This would also solve the part of my heart that urns to be part of something bigger than myself. Charitable cause have always been closet to my heart
I chose to work with Animal Rescues, Food Banks and Mental Health because each sector has directly impacted me or I have volunteered with them and see the value their work brings to society.
I hope to collaborate with many more around the world and bring on other artists to work with RIP OFF to become an international company without borders.
